Kojiki is an improvised dance performance by Butoh dancer Nonoko Sato in her home in Kyoto City, Japan. Sound and film by Jerry Gordon. This dance is part of the Isolated Moons project, which began during the COVID-19 lockdown period. Isolated Moons is a project to film performances by dancers inside of the spaces where they live. These films attempt to feature not only the dancers and their movements, but also the spaces and common objects that surround and are most familiar to them. The goal is to see if some special beauty of the mundane can sneak into the artistic and reveal elements beyond the performative. Isolated Moons is an ongoing project created by Jerry Gordon.

This minimal dance is all improvised, and the title is named after the image that Jerry felt most strongly from the dance.
